How many rooms are at The Propeller Quarter?

From September 2026, there will be 745 rooms across two buildings, each connected by a communal garden and stylish social spaces - designed to help you settle in and make friends from day one.

Two more buildings with more rooms and more amenities will be ready for the 2027/28 academic year.

Are all the student rooms furnished?

Yes – every room comes fully furnished with a double bed, full-height wardrobe, desk, and plenty of storage, so you can move straight in.

Are the rooms all-inclusive, and how long is the lease?

Absolutely. Your rent includes:

  • High-speed internet
  • All utility bills
  • Secure bike storage
  • 24-hour on-site staff

You can choose between a 44-week or 51-week tenancy.

Do you offer accessible rooms at The Propeller Quarter?

Yes – we’re committed to inclusive student living. Accessible rooms are available and include features such as step-free access, adapted bathrooms, and wider doorways.

If you have specific requirements, whether that's additional equipment, or layout changes, let us know and we’ll work with you to make the necessary adjustments.

If you require a carer's room or additional support we'll work with you to find the best solution. 

Can I visit before I book?

Yes! We’ve set up a show apartment to show exactly what the rooms will be like at Spitfire Hangar, Frise Street, Bristol, BS34 4AE.

It includes a 4-bedroom kitchen and en-suite bedroom.

Are there any Universities affiliated with The Propeller Quarter?

The Propeller Quarter is open to students from any university – and our location makes it easy to get to all of them:

  • UWE Frenchay Campus: 13-minute cycle or 25 minutes by Metrobus
  • University of Bristol: Direct train to Temple Meads, then a short walk or bus
  • Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, Bristol Dental School, University of Law: All easily reached via the new Brabazon train station
  • BIMM Music Institute: Direct bus down Gloucester Road
  • UWE Glenside Campus: Multiple transport options available
